Chef’s Table, Chester
Project Spotlight: Chef’s Table, Chester
Chester’s hottest restaurant — Chef’s Table, as featured in Absolutely Cheshire — has undergone a striking transformation with the addition of iSteel’s internal slimline steel glazing.
Located on Pepper Street in the heart of the city, Chef’s Table is renowned for its micro-seasonal menus, created by founder Liam McKay and sourced from a local pesticide-free farm. This sustainable, ever-evolving culinary experience is now framed by a refined architectural backdrop thanks to iSteel.
We installed a set of minimal sliding steel and glass doors alongside a single swing door with matching side panels, all finished in a textured black powder coat. The bold yet elegant frame contrasts beautifully with the warm, modern interior — a subtle nod to the restaurant’s ethos of refined simplicity.
The super-slim profiles and ultra-strong steel construction allow for expansive glass panels and a delicate design. Linear push-pull handles and minimalist crossbar detailing give the doors a clean, modern-industrial aesthetic.
Beyond just function, these doors bring drama and clarity to the space — visually zoning the intimate bar from the welcoming restaurant area, while preserving flow and sightlines. The glass invites diners to glimpse the energy of the restaurant or the quiet comfort of the bar, encouraging them to explore.
